The studies of foreign students at Odesa International Medical University is conducted in three languages: Ukrainian, Russian or English in the specialties of Medicine or Pharmacy.
The university as well as the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine issue the Invitation letter for international students who would like to study. The original version of this invitation letter is the ground to get a visa and to arrive in Ukraine.
International students of our university study on a contractual basis.
We do not require any specific marks or grades to be admitted at our university. After familiarizing with detailed information about studying at our university and available specialties, a student has to send the scan copies of his/her documents via email:
- Filled Application Form;
- Copy of his/her International passport or ID card (maximum valid for 2 years);
- Copy of Higher Secondary School Certificate (with subject details).
After reviewing all above-mentioned documents, we will notify about the acceptance or rejection. The next step is to receive the Invitation letter that is thought to be one the most important documents and is the ground to arrive in Ukraine. The Invitation letter is issued within 3-5 days and valid for 6 months. After it is issued, the original letter must be delivered through a courier.
Having received the Invitation letter an applicant has to the nearest Ukrainian Embassy in his/her country. Such documents are required there:
- The original version of the Invitation letter;
- International passport (must be valid for at least 2 years);
- Higher Secondary School Certificate (must be legalized);
- Medical certificate showing absence of Aids/HIV (must be legalized);
- 2 photos (size 3.5 x 4.5).
Every student who comes to study at OIMU, should have all the necessary documents and a receipt of complete payment for the first year of studying. Our International Education Center will finish all formalities and a student will start his/her classes in 4-5 days.
All international students are provided with accommodation where there are all necessary conditions for necessary living and studying. Every single room has a bed, a wardrobe, a fridge, a table, a bookcase, several pillows, mattress etc. On every floor there are a kitchen, a bathroom, showers and well-maintained toilets. Our students have also free access to Internet. Shops, supermarkets are located in 10-15 minutes’ walk from the dormitory.
The study at OIMU is conducted in the form of classes, independent work, practical training, individual tasks, control work. In general, educational activities of the university are aimed at training an academic leader in the sphere of medical services.
